THE GREATEST PROJECTION MAPPING EVER MADE IN A HANGING HALL

Sidera Aurea: 360° projection mapping

Sidera Aurea is an immersive projection mapping project made by Odd Agency inside the Palazzo della Ragione of Padua. A historical and emotional journey that traces the history of the sala picta along the centuries, from birth to its destruction in 1420, caused by the fire that destroyed the original cycle of pictures made by Giotto.

For the very first time, the Palazzo della Ragione di Padova will be the magnificent canvas of a cross-media show. Lights, visual effects, music and colors, will turn the frames and the frescoes in 333 windows overlooking the Vision.

After the extraordinary success obtained by Anima Mundi and Exstasis, which have touched and moved more than 70.000 spectators in the last year, Odd Agency returns with Sidera Aurea.

360° PROJECTION MAPPING

An immersive experience inside Palazzo della Ragione

In a continuous dialogue between image and architecture, projection mapping is inspired by the astrological narration of the pictorial cycle and its iconography.

The architecture and the paintings, real protagonists of the narration, represent the human being and its creation, the Art and the human will that fights the disruptive action of external agents, first of all, Time. The public is therefore called to identify with this struggle against the force of destiny that surrounds and dominates it.

Around the pictorial and architectural elements, Time is narrated by the passing of seasons.
In Spring there is the benign Nature that announces the generative and creative force, which is still unaware of future obstacles, while the Summer underlines the superb gait of the human being up to the Vanity and the melancholy of Autumn. Here, at the gates of Winter, mature consciousness makes its way, obscuring and annihilating the vision of Beauty and Knowledge, the only possibility for the Human Being to become eternal.

An immersive experience that, through the light and projections, will reveal the richness of the internal architecture of the Palazzo della Ragione, enhancing its magnificence and beauty.
